PBTC is used in cooling water system and oil well filling water to prevent scaling especially suitable to combine with zinc salts and/or copolymers.
It is an excellent stabilizer and chelant for zinc working at high temperature, high pH with high concentration. It chelates zinc stably not to form Zn(OH)2 precipitate at high pH.
It has both phosphonic and carboxylic groups, so anti-chelating very well for calcium carbonate and phosphate.
It is resistant to high temperature, hydrolyzing and strong oxidant not to decompose.
It provides good dispersing function in water with high turbidity and high iron content.
It is cost-effective in water treatment with low usage.
